Razorbacks win 11th straight SEC road series

#12 Arkansas recorded its first series win in Lexington since 2008.

After a five-game stretch of non-conference play, Arkansas jumped back into SEC play in a big way with a Top 20 showdown at Kentucky.

The series opened with a doubleheader and the 12th-ranked Razorbacks dominated, recording 22 runs total.

Game one was highlighted by Chenise Delce’s 14th complete game of the season.

She gave up just a single run on six hits while striking out six to keep Kentucky scoreless across the final four frames, and lead Arkansas to an 8-1 victory.

Game two belonged to redshirt junior Rylin Hedgecock, who blasted a career-high three home runs and matched a career-high of seven RBI to lead the Hogs to a 14-6 (5 inn.) series-clinching win.

The series finale went the way of the Wildcats, 3-1, but powerhouse hitter Kacie Hoffman recorded her fifth homer of the season for the Razorbacks' lone run.

Defensively, Delce was able to hold off Kentucky through the final three frames of the last game.

The senior pitcher retired all nine batters she faced while striking out seven straight to bring her total to 152 strikeouts this season.

Arkansas now holds an 11-7 conference record.
