MaXpeedingRods Introduces New Turbochargers - Engine Builder Magazine

Car parts manufacturer MaXpeedingRods is revamping its line of turbochargers and creating three new lines to satisfy every enthusiast. MaXpeedingRods has dedicated six new production lines for R&D of turbos and turbo accessories. This is a massive allocation of time and research dedicated to their flagship turbochargers. To start, MaXpeedingRods is reintroducing their ‘Original’ line, capable of up to 400 brake horsepower, these turbos are high quality while maintaining an affordable price point. The ‘Street Performance’ line is all-new as well, and will support upwards of 650 brake horsepower. This was designed for hardcore enthusiasts who are really trying to push the boundaries of a street vehicle. The final line that MaXpeedingRods is releasing is the ‘Sport Performance’ line capable of 850 horsepower. These turbos are built to handle serious power and abuse. There are key differences between the three different lines of turbochargers. The ‘Original’ line comes with a ductile iron turbine housing and K418 alloy turbine wheel. They are designed to operate in upwards of 700℃ and 900℃, respectably. The ‘Street Performance’ and ‘Sport Performance’ line both come with K419 alloy turbine wheels rated for 1000℃ operating temps, but the ‘Street Performance’ line comes with a Silicon-Molybdenum turbine housing, while the ‘Sport Performance’ line has a full stainless steel housing.

The ‘Original’ line comes with a cast aluminum compressor wheel and is strong and corrosion resistant. The ‘Street Performance’ and ‘Sport Performance’ lines run a forged billet aluminum compressor wheel that is CNC cut for a lightweight design. Both the ‘Street Performance’ and ‘Original’ lines come with a floating journal bearing in the center cartridge, while the ‘Sport Performance’ line will later be offered with a ball bearing design for faster spool and more g-forces without hurting bearings.

MaXpeedingRods’ universal turbos such as its GT35 and GT2871 turbos have been widely recognized by car enthusiasts. As such, the company continues to focus on the turbocharger market and making improvements to the design and technology implemented in those turbochargers. And, it’s not just the turbos themselves that have improved, but better packaging and branding as well.

To provide convenience for customers, brand new and updated turbo kits will be released with better turbos, better piping, more efficient intercoolers, higher quality wastegates, and better flowing blow-off valves. These improvements have been made from customer feedback to create some of the best turbos, wastegates, blow-off valves, and other related products on the market.

MaXpeedingRods‘ turbocharger kits are available for brands like Volkswagen, Audi, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, BMW, and more. The company intends to roll out more products and kits in the future to meet the demand of all consumers.

These pistons are forged from 2618T aluminum alloy and machined on dedicated CNC machine cells to tight tolerances. 2618 aluminum has a lower silicon content than other alloys. That makes the pistons stronger and more ductile—perfect for high-load, high-stress applications like superchargers, turbochargers, or nitrous oxide.  Other features include:• Rated to handle up to 1,500

The factory harmonic damper on your modern GM, Ford, or Mopar V8 are ‘tuned’ to absorb what’s called torsional vibration in the engine’s normal operating RPM range. Performance modifications, particularly ones that increase torque, produce added vibration in an RPM range that the elastomer damper wasn’t designed to handle. That vibration will accelerate component wear,
